In this room, just off the old council chamber, the origional ceiling has been exposed for the first time since the late 1960s. The origional hand made cornice is now visable and will be carefully restored.

Here we can see work progressing in the old function room were the origional roof lights are now visiable and are being replaced with custom made modern replacements.

Over the years ornate tiling was covered up with panneling or just painted over. Most of these origional tiles are being uncovered and again, will be fully restored.

The old library has been stripped back to the origional brickwork which is being specially treated agains damp and mould before replastering can start. The roof and ceiling is being repaired and restored.

More origional features that have been uncovered.
